Rekordu Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These terms are between PagezTech Ventures, a business registered in Ghana (business name registration no. BN414140425), of Unnumbered Building, Near Vila World School, Baatsona, Greater Accra, Ghana (GZ-100-3692) ("we") and the business that creates a Rekordu shop account ("you").
The service
Rekordu is a sales, stock and IMEI record keeping service for phone shops. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you and your staff record, for the accounts you create, and for keeping passwords private.
Receipts produced by Rekordu show your shop's details and a short "Powered by Rekordu" line with our contact details.
Trial, subscription and payment
New shops get a free trial of 14 days. After that, continued use of features that record new activity requires a paid plan, billed in advance through Paystack at the prices shown at checkout. If payment lapses your account becomes read only: you can still view and export all of your records. Payments for a billing period that has already started are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time and keep full access until the end of the period you paid for. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we will put it right. Refunds you give your own customers follow your shop's policy; Rekordu only records them.
Your data
You own your shop's records. You can export them at any time. We process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to record your customers' details and to send them WhatsApp messages through Rekordu.
Buying handsets and trade ins
When you buy a handset from a member of the public or accept one as a trade in, you must record the seller's identity document in Rekordu. You agree to:
- check the original document in person and record it accurately, and not record a document that does not belong to the person selling;
- tell the seller, before completing the purchase, that their ID is recorded to trace stolen handsets;
- use these records only to establish where a handset came from, to deal with stolen or lost phone reports, and to respond to lawful requests from the police or a court, and not for marketing or any other purpose;
- limit who in your shop can see them, keep them confidential, and handle requests from sellers about their data.
Recording an ID does not prove that a handset is not stolen. You remain responsible for your buying decisions and should not buy a handset you have reason to believe is stolen.
Stolen and lost phone reports
You must only report an IMEI as stolen, lost or fraudulent when you have a genuine, good faith reason. False reports may lead to account suspension. Reports are a warning to other shops, not a legal determination; we do not guarantee that the list is complete or accurate.
Acceptable use
You must not use Rekordu to deal in stolen goods, to break the law, or to try to access another shop's data.
Tax
Rekordu calculates tax using the rates you enter. You remain responsible for your tax obligations and for checking that your rates and receipts meet local requirements.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Rekordu available and backed up, but the service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost sales, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
Closing your account
You may close your account at any time from Settings. Your records are deleted 30 days after closure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
